Four Injured In Crash East Of Findlay

7/11/14 – 5:28 A.M.
Four people were hurt in a crash east of Findlay Thursday afternoon. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. on U.S. 224 near Township Road 255.
39-year-old Phillip Artez of Findlay was driving west in a Chevy pickup truck, hauling a skid loader on a trailer. The frame of the trailer broke, causing Artez to lose control and drift into the eastbound lane of U.S. 224. The trailer was then hit by a minivan driven by 30-year-old William Laugherty of Tiffin.
Laugherty and his three passengers including two children, suffered “non-incapacitating” injuries. They were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment. Artez and a passenger in his truck were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
