Lainey Wilson Has “No Idea” What’s Going On With “Yellowstone”

Lainey Wilson was ready to take the stage at the Stagecoach Festival over the weekend when an interviewer hit her up with a few questions – and you just knew that the subject of “Yellowstone” would come up.

The singer starred as country singer Abby in the first half of Season Five – and just as she was finding her footing, the show went on mid-season hiatus – with the second half of Season Five in jeopardy as various on-set issues have delayed production of the hit series.

When asked what she could tell us about “Yellowstone,” she was informed that series creator Taylor Sheridan was on the grounds at Stagecoach. Lainey was as “in the dark” as the rest of us: “I’m planning on getting an update today,” Wilson said. “It’s wild. Like, just tell me when, man,” she added with a laugh. “Yeah, I have no clue what’s going on… I’m waiting on that phone call. I feel like I’ve learned that TV business is even crazier than the music business – and that’s the truth.”
