Powerful Winds Wreak Havoc Across The Area

Very powerful winds on Friday brought down trees and power lines and made driving hazardous.

In the videos below, a tree fell on a house on Woodworth Drive in Findlay and on a house on California Avenue in Liberty Township.

WFIN News was told at the scenes that nobody was home when the trees came down.

The strong winds toppled some semis in the area, including on State Route 15 in Findlay and on US 23 southbound, a little north of Upper Sandusky.

The powerful winds also brought down wires, causing power outages.

Arcadia had a 73 mph gust and Findlay a 70 mph gust on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The winds were expected to ease up Friday night.
