Supreme Court Won’t Take Up Former Ohio House Speaker’s Appeal
(ONN) – There is an update on one of Ohio’s biggest corruption cases.
The U.S. Supreme Court is refusing to overturn the bribery conviction of former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder.
Householder was found guilty in a massive 60-million-dollar racketeering scheme tied to a state nuclear bailout deal involving First Energy.
The decision leaves in place his 20-year prison sentence, along with the conviction of former Ohio GOP Chair Matt Borges.
Prosecutors have called this case one of the largest corruption scandals in Ohio history.
