Raise The Bar Hancock County Holding Mock Interview Day
(From Raise the Bar Hancock County)
Raise the Bar Hancock County and the Business Advisory Council continue to advance workforce readiness efforts through the 2026 Mock Interview Day, bringing together students and industry professionals from across the region.
On May 7, 2026, nearly 400 11th grade students from all Hancock County school districts will participate in a full-day, hands-on career readiness experience. The event will once again be held at Living Hope Church and is designed to help students build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and better understand employer expectations.
This year’s event includes the support of 87 business professionals representing 69 local businesses and organizations. Together, they span all 14 industry sectors present in Hancock County, offering students a well-rounded view of local career opportunities. Each student will participate in a one-on-one mock interview, receiving immediate, personalized feedback to help refine their professional skills.
Mock Interview Day continues to be a cornerstone of Hancock County’s K-12 workforce development strategy. By connecting students directly with local employers, the initiative helps bridge the gap between education and industry while highlighting the diverse career pathways available within the community.
The continued growth and strong participation in this event reflect the shared commitment of schools, businesses, and community partners to preparing students for success after graduation, whether they choose to enter the workforce, pursue higher education, or enlist in the military.
