Public Invited To Attend Hancock County Law Enforcement Memorial Service
(From the Fort Findlay FOP Lodge 20)
Police Week begins in Hancock County on Monday, May 11.
It’s a time to remember those we’ve lost, and to stand beside those who continue to serve.
We honor the fallen by supporting the serving.
The Hancock County Law Enforcement Memorial Service will be held at the Fallen Officers Memorial at the Fort Findlay FOP Lodge 20 on Romick Parkway in Findlay on Monday, May 11 at 6 p.m.
Not every loss wears the label “official” line of duty, but that does not make the sacrifice any less real. In recent years, our law enforcement community has experienced the devastating loss of five officers to suicide. (pictured below)
These were men who showed up. Who served.
Who carried the weight of this profession, often silently.
Their deaths may not be formally recognized in the same way, but make no mistake: they gave their lives in service to their community.
This week, we honor them alongside all of our fallen. And we recommit ourselves to something just as important as remembrance: support.
Because honoring the fallen means taking care of those still here.
If you or someone you love is struggling, you are not alone.
