Jay Harris Weekdays 2-7pm
Let’s see, I’m originally from Ottawa and graduated from Ottawa-Glandorf in 1982. (Forever a Titan!) I started in radio in 1981 at the old WPNM in Ottawa, (which is now 106.3 The Fox, for reference). I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Bowling Green in May of 1986. After school, I worked at WKTN in Kenton for a few months, and then got hired at WQTL in Ottawa in November of 1986. Worked there until 1989 when I got a gig in Columbus at Hot 105-7. Stayed there for about a year, back to Ottawa, and then to Findlay when they moved us there (following so far?)
We were on Tiffin Ave. with WCKY. Stayed there until 2010 when WCKY was moved to Toledo. Did the drive to Toledo and back for 8 years. And now, I’m here at 100.5 WKXA doing 3-7pm. What a long, strange trip it’s been.
My wife Jeannine and I have lived in Findlay since 2000. If you ever go to BG Falcon hockey games, you’ve probably heard me. I’ve been the PA voice of the Falcons since 2005. My wife and I are huge hockey fans, and I’ve played in the Findlay Adult Hockey League since 1989. I also have a thing for Ford Mustang’s. My current Mustang is a Grabber Orange 1970 Boss 302, you may have seen it at some local shows. So, there it is in a nutshell. Looking forward to doing great radio at WKXA, and as always, thanks for hangin’ out, we really appreciate it!
