Millie Bobby Brown Calls Out Writers For ‘Disturbing’ Articles About Her Body
Millie Bobby Brown took to Instagram to denounce the press for “bullying” her over her evolving physical appearance, pointing to specific articles and writers for their “disturbing” focus on criticizing her. “I started in this industry when I was 10 years old,” Brown wrote in the caption to the video. “I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason, people can’t seem to grow with me. Instead, they act like I’m supposed to stay frozen in time, like I should still look the way I did on ‘Stranger Things’ Season 1. And because I don’t, I’m now a target.”
Brown highlighted the damaging impact of such coverage. “This isn’t journalism. This is bullying,” she said. “The fact that adult writers are spending their time dissecting my face, my body, my choices, it’s disturbing. The fact that some of these articles are written by women? Even worse.” Brown is up for a busy 2025 with the release of the Russo Brothers’ sci-fi epic The Electric State later this month and the final season of Stranger Things later this year. (Variety)
