Chase Rice in hot water over his concert this past weekend…
Even some of his fellow Country stars called him out….
While not a lot of concerts are really happening right now because of social distancing guidelines, Chase Rice was back on stage this weekend, and apparently few of the concert goers seemed very worried about getting sick.
Chase headlined a concert at the prison-turned venue Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Petros, Tennessee, and judging by photos nobody was wearing masks, and everyone was pretty packed in front of the stage, with few people practicing any sort of social distancing.
The venue later released a statement, noting, “All local requirements were abided by for the recent concert, and numerous precautions were taken,” adding, “we drastically reduced our maximum venue capacity of 10,000 to 4,000 maximum capacity (lower than the state’s advisement of 50%) with less than 1,000 in attendance Saturday night providing ample space in the outdoor lawn area for fans to spread out to their own comfort level.”
- They also say all guests had their temperature taken before entry, hand sanitzer was available and while the recommended physical distancing, they weren’t really able to enforce it. They insist they will take other precautions next time, and are looking into alternative measures for future shows.
