Blake Shelton Scores Milestone 30th No. 1 Hit On Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart

Blake Shelton has reached a significant career milestone with his 30th No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, as “Stay Country or Die Tryin'” climbed two spots to reach the top position. The song earned 29.5 million audience impressions during the January 2-8 tracking week, marking a 13% increase over the previous span. Written by Beau Bailey, Graham Barham, Sam Ellis and Drew Parker, the track was produced by Scott Hendricks. This achievement places Shelton in second place on the chart’s all-time leaderboard, behind only Kenny Chesney’s 33 No. 1s since the ranking began in 1990. Tim McGraw holds third place with 29 chart-toppers. Shelton’s first No. 1 hit came in 2001 with “Austin,” which stayed at the top for five weeks, while his previous chart-topper was his recent hit collaboration with Post Malone, “Pour Me a Drink,” which ruled Country Airplay for three weeks in October 2024.
