Jelly Roll Says Reading Wife Bunnie XO’s New Memoir Was “Rough” Due To Painful Past

During an interview with PEOPLE on Tuesday (Feb. 17), Jelly Roll admitted that it was hard for him to read certain sections of his wife Bunnie XO’s new memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic. “It was rough at times just for me to read it,” the 41-year-old country star said. “We went through a lot of pain and having to go through it together, but reading the whole book and seeing where it ended at is really touching.”

The Grammy winner praised his wife for being “brave” in sharing her story. “I’m just proud of her for telling her story so unapologetically,” he said. “She talks about everything fearlessly, from domestic assault to sexual assault.”

The memoir, released Tuesday, details their “free, not open” relationship and addresses Jelly Roll’s past 10-month affair. The couple married in 2016 after meeting in 2015, and are planning to expand their family through IVF with a surrogate. (People)
