Bob Newhart: A Legacy Of Laughter, the Monday special honoring the late comedy icon, drew 4.1 million viewers on CBS, becoming the highest-rated program in its time slot. It also ranked as the night’s most-watched show.

HBO is producing a two-part documentary on Mel Brooks, with Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio. “I went into comedy because of my love for Mel Brooks,” Apatow said in a statement. “This project is the dream of a lifetime.”

Jack Osbourne shared on The Osbournes podcast that he manages his multiple sclerosis with a mix of “alternativetherapiesbut is also open to traditional treatments. He hasn’t had “any significant symptoms…for a long time.”

John Schneider and Dee Dee Sorvino recently got married in Las Vegas, both having lost their spouses. John’s late wife Alicia Allain died in February 2023, while Dee Dee’s late husband, actor Paul Sorvino, died in July 2022.

The NBA says Warner Bros. failed to match Amazon’s broadcasting rights offer, and will lose its rights in the league’s new deal with Disney, Amazon, and NBCUniversal. WB says it did match, and threatened legal action.
