Josh Gad To Direct Chris Farley Biopic Starring Paul Walter Hauser
A biopic about Chris Farley is in development, featuring Paul Walter Hauser (I, Tonya, Richard Jewell) as the legendary comedian. Directed by Josh Gad, the film will be based on the book, The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts, written by Farley’s brother, Tom. The project is endorsed by Farley’s family and will be produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels. Hauser, best known for his role in the Apple TV+ limited series Black Bird, recently won a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award. Farley, celebrated for his work on Saturday Night Live and films like Tommy Boy and Black Sheep, tragically passed away from a drug overdose in 1997 at the age of 33.
