City Employees Participate In Tree Planting Workshop

City of Fostoria employees participated in a Tree Planting Workshop made possible through our American Forests Grant.

The day began with classroom-based training led by Davey Resource Group, where employees learned proper tree planting techniques, tree care best practices, and the importance of maintaining a healthy urban forest. Following the training, participants headed to Fountain Cemetery to put their new skills into action by planting three new trees.

A special thank you to American Forests for funding this opportunity, Davey Resource Group for providing the training and expertise, North Branch Nursery for supplying the trees, and our City employees for their willingness to learn new skills and invest in the future of Fostoria’s urban forest!
