Driver Extricated From Wreckage And Flown To Hospital

At approximately 1:03 p.m. on May 28th the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle injury crash that occurred on US 68 at US 30 in Madison Township.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a blue 2024 Hyundai, driven by 54-year-old Stephanie Sherman of Kenton Ohio, was traveling southbound on US 68 near US 30.
The vehicle veered off the west side of US 68 striking a ditch at the US 30 E/B on ramp.
Stephanie was found entrapped in her vehicle but was extricated by the Arlington Fire Department.
It was discovered that Stephanie was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
Stephanie was subsequently transported by ProMedica Air to ProMedica Toledo Hospital for further treatment.
Agencies assisting at the scene included Appleseed EMS, ODOT, ProMedica Air and Ed’s Towing.
This crash remains under investigation.
