Findlay City Schools Restoring Busing For Next School Year

Findlay City Schools says it will be easing the burden on families in the 2026-27 school year with expanded transportation.

For high school students, busing will be restored, and there will be a 2-mile walk radius.

For students in K-5, the walk radius is being decreased to 1 mile from the current school year’s 2-mile radius.

Students in grades 6-8 will remain the same as the current school year and align with the high school’s 2-mile walk radius.

For the current school year, there is no busing for high school students, and a two-mile walk radius for elementary and middle school students, with busing provided for those who live more than two miles from their school.

Findlay City Schools also announced at its recent Board of Education meeting that it will be adding approximately 20 teaching positions and support roles for next school year.

The district says some of the teaching positions will help decrease the student to teacher ratio.
