Police Department Gets New Dual-Purpose K9

(From the Findlay Police Department)

The Findlay Police Department is pleased to announce the addition of K9 Asa, a 2-year-old black German Shepherd, to its K9 unit.

K9 Asa and his handler, Officer Lehman, recently completed 10 weeks of intensive training at the Ohio State Highway Patrol K-9 Training Facility in Marysville, Ohio.

K9 Asa is a dual-purpose police dog, trained in both patrol operations and narcotics detection. Officer Lehman and K9 Asa are scheduled to begin patrol duties on the streets next week.

We would like to thank Blanchard Valley Veterinary Clinic for the donation of the K9 First Aid Kit which will be carried in their patrol vehicle.
