Severe Weather Awareness Week Includes Statewide Tornado Drill
(From the Findlay Police Department)
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has designated March 15-21, 2026, as Severe Weather Awareness Week and is encouraging all Ohioans to be prepared for spring and summer weather hazards, including thunderstorms, high winds, tornadoes, and floods.
As part of the week’s preparedness activities, the Findlay Police Department will participate in the Ohio Statewide Tornado Drill, scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 at 9:50 a.m. During the drill the outdoor tornado sirens will be activated.
Severe Weather Awareness Week is an opportunity for our community to review emergency plans, check weather alert systems, and make sure they are prepared for severe weather that can occur throughout the spring and summer months.
