Union Pacific Big Boy Pass Through Event In Fostoria

The City of Fostoria is excited to announce plans for the Union Pacific Big Boy pass through event on Saturday, June 6th at Iron Triangle Rail Park!

This historic locomotive is expected to pass through Fostoria at approximately 2:00 PM, but we are planning for this to be much more than just a quick stop-by. We’re working to turn this into a wonderful community event where residents, railfans, and visitors can spend the day enjoying the Rail Park, local businesses, food vendors, photo opportunities, and everything Fostoria has to offer.

Please keep in mind that events of this size take a tremendous amount of planning, coordination, logistics, and safety preparation behind the scenes. Our team has already been actively working on vendor coordination, crowd management, parking plans, shuttle possibilities, safety operations, and event logistics to help make this a successful experience for everyone attending.

SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY

Because large crowds are expected, additional information regarding parking, potential shuttle services, traffic flow, viewing areas, and railroad safety will be released in follow-up posts as plans are finalized. Please remember to remain off railroad tracks at all times and obey all safety personnel during the event.
