Findlay Firefighter To Be Honored At Ohio Fire Service Awards Ceremony

The Findlay Fire Department’s Eric Wilkins will be honored at the 45th annual Ohio Fire Service Hall of Fame & Awards in Columbus on Tuesday, May 12.

The annual awards ceremony recognizes the bravery, commitment and sacrifice members of Ohio’s fire service make on behalf of the communities they serve.

Fire Inspector Wilkins will receive the Ohio Fire Prevention Educator of the Year award.

Wilkins is being recognized for his outstanding dedication to fire prevention and community safety for nearly 25 years with the Findlay Fire Department.

As a leader in public outreach, he has educated thousands of residents, coordinated large-scale smoke alarm installation programs, and spearheaded specialized initiatives.

One of the initiatives Wilkins oversees is teaching kids fire safety at Camp 911, which you can see in the video below.

Wilkins is among the 21 honorees from across the state who will be recognized.

Congratulations, Eric!
